How to setup a dual boot system of Windows XP and Centos 5?

I am a new user of Centos 5 linux.I have previously have my Windows XP running in my system with four NTFS partitions.I have both XP and CentOs installation CDs.How to install CentOs 5.0 so as to have a dual boot system with XP?Please explain with non-technical terms(for linux).

I don’t know a lot about Centos, but the install disk should have a partitioner on it. When you go to start installing it will ask you to partition disk space for linux (Linux uses swap space and ext3…those are file systems like NTFS). It won’t run on NTFS file format. So the space for Centos won’t be accessible by Windows and vice versa (unless you get special software).
It should walk you right through it, even install the boot loader.
