		<description>that should be because ure using nvidia or intel card. there driver don&#039;t support kernel mode setting. (well intel does, but I think they have some problem atm). Nvidia won&#039;t support it anytime soon on a side note</description>

you open as root /boot/grub/menu.lst and you add at the end of the kernel line : vga=0x343. the last 3 digits (343) depend on the resolution of your screen. if you are unsure type vga=ask instead (at the same place) reboot and you can choose from the list. to make it permanent you edit the file that I mentioned earlier</description>
