    when i try installing it a login is required but its is my 1st try and its coming straight off of the burned iso

    I try to install Linux, but then it says set graphics to 32 bit and sound to 60 hz. I do that, but the message still appears. Help!

    i have ubuntu on my computer but it wont load up… i added some auto updates and then my computer got messed up… when i turn it on it beaps, n then after a while goes to a black screen n says. starting up… usplash: setting mode 1152×864 failed… usplash: using mode 1024×768… init: gdm main process (550) terminated with status 1… does any one know how to fix this or even reboot ubuntu onto it again?? please reply… thanks

    ok i got to 6:33 the partitioning part and i think i selcted install it on the external hardrive i was using and it did but now when i run windows it doesnt recognize my 630gb hardrive, and it has problems booting up the computer, sometimes it eorks, sometimes it syas GRUB not found, how do i get linux off my external hdd and basiccally restart everything?

    I currently have Vista but I now get an error message when I try to log on saying that my user profile couldn’t be loaded or found or something. I tried System Restore but it failed. I’m not very familiar with Ubuntu or Linux. I don’t want to pay for a new copy of Windows right now. Would downloading and using the new version of Ubuntu be practical for me in my situation? Would it be very difficult for me to get used to after using pretty much only Windows Operating Systems?
