    Lenovo is a chinese company. They bought IBMs PC-biz in 2005.
    IBM only produces server hardware nowadays.

    yes they are. i myself am using an IBM laptop at this minuite they still make them they just don’t sell them under the name “IBM” they sell them under the name of “lenovo”

    I LOVE IBM NOW, FOR THE HELP THEY WILL GIVE FOR LINUX NOW! maybe it will be easier to get drivers now once it gets more recognition!

    How ironic. Apple thought that IBM was big brother 22 years ago and didn’t see that Microsoft was the real big brother in waiting. Yet now its IBM that is the one that is using Linux to take on Big Brother Microsoft.

    easy fix in linux, change the name from “application.exe” to “application.wine” and you can just double click it like you do in windows. Wish some one told me that when I started linux, hated going into the terminal and typin “cd wine /path/to/file/”

    Technically it can run them using WINE as a compatibility layer. It just can’t use most of them to the extent Windows can.

    Windows owns the desktop market, Linux owns the server market. The internet runs on Unix and Linux.
