notepad++ gives me a hard time looking for typo errors. I mean it didn’t give you any warning or indication, and after all has been done, I have to look all over the place just to find out that I missed a “>” at the end of a line.
Eclipse should work better.

I personally use Notepad++ that and WinSCP, allows me to code directly from my Linux Apache server and save directly too.
Better syntax highlighting for my own preference.
Netbeans is good though just very rarely use it, also Eclipse is just as good, means you can download the PHP manual, or it looks it up for you and gives you hints in your code.
Faster production scales I think.
