Hi Rootz..
My problem is that when I write install_ps3_1080p, it says not found, my tv its an LCD JVC 42 Inch… Ive also tried with 720p etc.. what should I do??
Thx
wait if i change tv’s in the future how do i go back and change the install_ps3 so and so.
Eh you read into numbers way too much. The difference is discerning and I can see it myself on my 23″ LCD. Don’t listen to other people and judge for yourself. Now it doesn’t necessarily make it worth the price difference sometimes, but hey…
I mean hey, if 720p and 768p are different, then 1080p definitely will be.
Ahh, i get exactly what your saying, and im guessing 50/50 chance try it is all i can tell you, just hop that YDL programed it in! And 720p dosent look worse, a 32inch tv and below 1080p and 720p have no differnce in quality at that screen size, but if your were to have 720p on a 42 inch next to a 42inch with 1080p the quality would be better on the 1080p.
Okay here’s what I’m saying: a 720 native TV’s resolution is really 1368 x 768 pixels, but 720p means 1280 x 720 pixels. So that means they take the image and slightly stretch it, which is partly the reason why 720p looks slightly worse than 1080i, other than the other fact that a 1920 x 1080 resolution is much higher anyway.
VGA support allows for 1368 x 768, which is proper resolution for your 720p LCD. I was just wondering if YDL would allow this if you entered 768p at the command prompt.
Oh, so that what vga displays?? My bad man.
Technically that’s the proper resolution for “720p” TV’s, so I was just wondering, since VGA can do it, if this thing could just create its own resolution like this. That’s why I asked.
There is no such thing as 768p
Ya, its a beast, but running an “otherOS” on the ps3 sucks because they limit all your hardware way down, like the ps3 actually has 3.XXGb of ram, and when you go to use the OtherOS feature they limit down all the hardware, and now you would have 256mb of ram
Why the fuck do your British bastard say tick!!!!
Fucking say Click
Thanks, everywhere else said a CD would be fine.
DVD-R
no if you dont have a HDTV when you see kboot:
type install_ps3_480i
And can I choose 768p instead? Or are there only specific settings it has?
Does the install DVD need to be a DVD-R, or can it be a CD-R?
The PS3 Hardware Its A Beasat So It Runs Everything!!!
Thanks
does it have to be a HD tv?
I never realized how much work it takes to start a blog. I just tried making one myself, not very easy! Keep up the good work.
