    Please don’t have a webcam window open, it’s distracting from the main body of the video. The voiceover is more than enough.

    I only got irexec and irxevent in the startup applications (the rcDOTLoal thing didn’t work anymore) there but lircd starts only when the receiver is plugged in and i didn’t edit any file to make it start by itself.Could it be that irxevent or irexec somehow “bootstraps/requires” a new deamon ?

  5. OSGUIShow says:

    @cr561979 hrmm im not sure.. is it in preferences startup applications?

  6. cr561979 says:

    @OSGUIShow
    I did that already but somehow it doesn’t kill the Lirc-deamon at logout and or checks if one is already running at login.Isn’t there a nifty hack to prevent it from running twice ?

  7. OSGUIShow says:

    @cr561979 oh its the session its saving on quit and reloading
    you need to find the setting in the login options to turn that off

    Hey m8 can you give me a hint ? Everytime i logout/in , im looking at two instances of Lircd,irexec and irxevent ?

  9. OSGUIShow says:

    @cr561979 i dunno dude sorry yeah that sucks

  10. cr561979 says:

    Big question, why didn’t they inlclude the GCC-compiler in KDE 4.4 (grrrrrrrr) ? I had to unplug like a thousand cables from my nettop and in order to get my wlan dongle installed.

  14. OSGUIShow says:

    @ortafunk Linux is free to, download, copy, rip, mod
    so its not cheaper to just use Windows 7
    this is a Mint KDE Isadora DVD ISO running in a Virtual Machine

  15. OSGUIShow says:

    @danieldvs100 ubuntu 10.10 64bit

  16. danieldvs100 says:

    yo, whats ur main OS? it seems obvious that its linyx but, a factory, brand new coputer can’t put that strait on there…can they?

  17. ortafunk says:

    So when are They going to come out with Linux Mint Isadora KDE on virtual machine DVD? I hate Microsoft but Microsoft already has a good Operating System called Windows 7 while Linux have got No where, It would have been cheaper just to bite the bullet and buy Microsoft Windows 7 Instead of buying a bunch of Linux stuff trying to find one that will work with just the basic hardware and software.

  18. jadooindia says:

  19. OSGUIShow says:

  20. jadooindia says:

    Thanks in advance

  21. OSGUIShow says:
