    @IchigoRukia09 PS3′s are a bit expensive, and it would be a huge waste of hardware to buy one and not game / play blu-rays on it.

  3. IchigoRukia09 says:

    For people who use their Linux OS On their PS3 why not buy one (One for PS3 fw) And the other for the Linux OS

    @Nitrosplitt yup. Not as many as I’d like, but I’ve started reading more eBooks instead

    @totaljking12 Thanks man!

    Fedora is a great middle ground. It’s a bit more advanced, but not too much so. Arch Linux is a great distro, but it’s quite a step up from Ubuntu. I did a review of it 2 weeks ago. If you follow the beginner’s guide, it’s not too bad, but try it in a VM first.

    Subscribed, linux news from a guy who knows what hes talking about.

    What do you think is a good linux distro for someone who’s been using ubuntu for a while and wants to move to something less nooby? Like a middle ground between ubuntu, and compiling gentoo from source. Something not too beginner but at the same time not insane linux guru?

    @stmpoodle You can right click taskbar and open up task manager. Just click processes tab and then look for skype.exe*32 and skypePM.exe. You can end both of these processes safely and free up your resources.

    @korwinblue wow, that’s a last-minute discovery. :P Kidding. If you haven’t been around for more than one release, it’s not terribly obvious.

  12. korwinblue says:

    I just realized that the last 10 Ubuntu version names are in ABC order :P

  13. thisweekinlinux says:

    @stmpoodle wow, that definitely sounds ilke a software issue. Just another reminder why I <3 Linux so much. :) Easy to kill stuff if it hangs up.

  14. stmpoodle says:

    @thisweekinlinux yes, my wife has a Vista Laptop and it runs ok in that. My easy versions of Skype were in Linux Mint 7 ( about 6 months ago) and the Mac version. but W7 keeps it running in my background and won’t quit without a physical restart. If I don’t disable the Automatic Sign-in option, then it plays havoc against my web browsers. So while in Windows 7 I don’t do Skype anymore. It could be just a issue with Dell. But to me, it should be a software issue.

  15. thisweekinlinux says:

    @stmpoodle Really? The XP version is amazing. I hate to say that.. they’ve just put so much more effort into it than the Linux version.

  16. stmpoodle says:

    About Skype – the Skype version for Windows 7 is terrible! looking forward to the new Linux version.

    @Freespire44 Thanks. I haven’t used Mint in a long time, but I’ll see what I can do.

  20. Freespire44 says:

    Ubuntu use animal names,and Linux Mint use Names of women ending with the Letter [A] P.S please do some videos on Linux Mint.

    @TheLifeRuiner Very cool! checking out his blog now.

  22. TheLifeRuiner says:

    @thisweekinlinux geohot is a hacker who created iPhone and ipod touch jailbreakers. He also hacked the PS3. He might make a custom firmware to allow the install other OS feature to remain.

    Here’s his blog: geohotps3.blogspot (dot) com

    @shinobi815 Ah, very cool.

    @thisweekinlinux Nah on Fedora 12. I figured it out though. :D

  25. thisweekinlinux says:

    @shinobi815 on Ubuntu? go to System -> Administration -> Hardware Drivers and install it there.
