From Stacks, a way to clean up the desktop, to a folder called Downloads, the UI is glitzier than ever. And, Finder now works across Macs or PCs on your network
OSX is open source. 3rd party devs can create an app for that absolutely. apple create the foundations (solid ones), it’s up to devs to take it further.
@mackenziepricee you can hide the dock if you want a window in full screen, but if you move your mouse near it it does pop-up. personally i like the dock but i think apple should have the option to turn it off not just hide it, then turn it on when needed. doubt that’ll happen with 10.7.
I personally like Windows.
I think a lot of my skepticism merely comes from the fear that it will be hard to get to grips with Mac OS after using Windows all my life.
Plus I probably can’t afford Mac could probably build a higher hardware spec PC for less. I don’t know.
The only problem I have with the dock (Never really used OS X much) is when you have a window full screen you still have the gaps at the bottom of the dock on either side. If you get what I mean.
Maybe this isnt a problem, I dont really know. Have not used the dock much.
I’m a (very long time!) mac user and I also kinda agree. Not completely, but to some extent I find the taskbar (not 7′s, XP’s) to be more workable with.
