www.netbooknews.com Think that OLPC is low tech well the next-generation XO Laptop looks like its got a couple of software tricks up its sleeve. The XO-1.75 Laptop will have a touchscreen display and it looks like developers are already taking advantage. One of the OLPC team members has ported the multi-lingual virtual keyboard from MeeGo to get the ball rolling. There is even a video of the little beauty in action. An interesting development in the XO-1.75 evolution is their decision to use Fedora as the base distribution. The Sugar development team notes that “this wasn’t an obvious decision — ARM is not a release architecture in Fedora, and so we’re committing to help out with that port.”
